Artists can often be inspired by the colours they see around them, and now a new pen enables them to grab that exact colour and use it in their work.
The Cronzy Pen is a new Indiegogo project that enables users to “save” colours to a pen, before using a built-in ink cartridge to create that colour so they can work with it.
The makers claim it can recreate up to 16 million different colours once scanned, working with a connected app to give users the chance to customise their art experience.
The smart pen is set to come with a range of pen tips for different drawing or writing styles as well as a power supply to charge the pen.
The companion app will also be available on iOS, Google Play and the Windows Store.
The Cronzy still has a way to go to make all this a reality however, with around $180,000 (£138,000) of its funding goal still needing to be raised.
