The world has taken the news of Donald Trump beating Hillary Clinton in the US election in different ways.

Some are rejoicing, others are expressing their disappointment and one burger restaurant in Australia has just created a new Google Chrome extension that replaces pictures of the president-elect with burgers.

Mr Burger – which has food trucks and stores across the country – is offering a “Make Trump Burger Again” Chrome extension for anyone who wants to turn photos of Trump into delicious-looking burgers.

Maleik Edwards, Mr Burger’s marketing manager, says it was a spur-of-the-moment idea.

“We came up with the idea this morning over a cup of coffee,” he said. “Depressed with the news coverage and its negativity over the last few days, we wanted to do something fun, light-hearted and irreverent that would bring some joy to people’s day.

“We decided to do this as it makes the internet great again and brings more burgers to everyone’s life – which is always a great thing!

“We chose a juicy burger photo, as who doesn’t love a tasty burger, instead of a bright orange Donald?”

However, the extension appears to work on images that have the word “Trump” in it so if you type in “trump card” or “trumpet” you might still get an image of the burger. But the extension is able to tell the difference between photos of Trump and his family members.

We aren’t sure if Trump himself has seen this clever Chrome trick, but we already know he does love a good burger…
