Police at Stansted Airport have revealed someone tried to make their way through the airport carrying an iPhone case in the shape of a handgun.
In a series of messages and images posted to Twitter, Essex Police revealed that airport officers stopped a male passenger at security with what appeared to be a firearm in his pocket.
It turned out to be an iPhone case, in the shape of a handgun.
Essex Police have since said that the man could be charged with a public order offence, or of carrying an imitation firearm in a public space.
They then tweeted out pictures of the case, suggesting that anyone who wanted to board a flight leave similar items at home.
The hashtag ‘Don’t be daft’ seems to sum up how they felt about the incident.
