Just when we thought Ubisoft had stolen the show on press conference day, Sony turn up and change everything.

Not only did the PlayStation team confirm that PlayStation VR will launch on October 13 in the US, but we saw a catalogue of games that could stand up against many a year of E3 presentations.

There are so many we can’t even feature them all, but we highly encourage you to check out the full press conference, which you can see here. In the meantime though, these are our Sony highlights.

Batman Arkham VR

Oh boy, not only did we get that huge PlayStation VR news, we also got a tantalising preview of one of the first games coming to the platform. One that brings whole new meaning to the tagline “Be the Batman”.

Farpoint

More VR. This time on a hostile alien planet, and a stunning one at that.

Spiderman

Insomniac, the studio behind Sunset Overdrive, taking on Spiderman is the sort of combination you should be excited about.

Resident Evil 7

You’ll be able to play this in full, in VR as well as on PS4. Which sounds mad to be completely honest.

Detroit Become Human

Androids, choices, information gathering and puzzle solving. This is suspense-building and tension filled gaming at its best.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Having been first introduced to Horizon last year it’s great to see it again a step closer to launch.

The Last Guardian

The big reveal of last year, The Last Guardian is completely unique.

God of War

Kratos is back, and meaner than ever.

Final Fantasy XV

A source of huge excitement for many, this is FF on the sort of platform it deserves to be on.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

LEGO. Star Wars. The Force Awakens. It’s all just perfect.

Here They Lie

It’s hard not to be creeped out by this one, yet we want to know so much more.

Days Gone

A chance to play as a zombie bounty hunter, just like you’ve always wanted.

Death Stranding

“I’m back”, Hideo Kojima proclaimed as he appeared on stage to reveal his next project. The Metal Gear Solid creator is known for the slightly strange and this is no different. To be honest it’s hard to know what to say about Death Stranding, but everyone is happy Norman Reedus is in it.
