This week we toured the Wimbledon data bunker that’s powered by IBM, as well as got excited over gameplay footage from No Man’s Sky and the first look at Doctor Who in Lego Dimensions.

It’s been a good week then, and here are all those highlights.

Wimbledon’s secret bunker

Across the 19 courts of Wimbledon there is a lot of data to capture – and IBM is setting about gathering and using it all. Have you ever wondered how those smart graphics appear on TV so quickly, and how they seem to come up with some great stats on social media? We went along to SW19 to find out.

No Man’s Sky

The lucky so-and-sos over at IGN have had the creators of No Man’s Sky – Hello Games – into their office for a guided tour of the astonishingly big open universe game. They got 18 minutes of game play footage out of it, and here it is.

The Doctor in Lego

Almost as exciting as the trailer for the next series of the TV show, San Diego Comic Con has also seen the first look at The Doctor’s Lego debut in the upcoming Lego Dimensions game.

Maquisard

A platform game inspired by the setting and visual style of Wes Anderson’s Oscar-winning movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. What more needs to be said?

Minecraft Story Mode

The indie gaming world’s biggest success story of recent years is expanding, and with a story mode for the first time. The normally open world sandbox game is trying something different to entice more fans to the growing franchise, the question is; will it work?

WWE 2K16 cover star reveal

An auspicious moment for wrestling fans – as the superstar revealed to be on the cover of this year’s game has been linked with a comeback in the ring. (We’re not going to spoil who it is).
