Many tourist attractions including Disneylands around the world and London’s O2 arena have followed others by banning selfie sticks this year.
So if you love taking selfies when you’re out and about, it’s worth being aware that not every attraction allows them – usually due to “health and safety risk”.
But don’t panic peeps… There is a new website that has got your selfie-loving backs.
And it’s called CanIBringMySelfieStick.com, which is pretty easy to remember.
The site lists more than 100 attractions from around the world and if your favourite venue isn’t listed you can request for it to be added.
Places including museums, theme parks, sports stadiums and palaces are listed and categorised by type and location, then marked as “Yes!”, which means selfie sticks are allowed, or “Yes…”, which means there’s a but, such as Buckingham Palace, which is a yes but not in the palace itself.
Or there is the big fat “No”, which just means don’t bring your selfie stick.
Simon Applebaum, of AttractionTix.co.uk, which created the site, said: “People taking selfies using selfie sticks has become a common sight in the UK and around the world, whether it’s at theme parks or at tourist hotspots like the Eiffel Tower.
“But it was when Walt Disney World announced in June that they were banning selfie sticks at their parks that we realised there was no source for people to find out which attractions they could bring their selfie sticks to or if they would have to leave them at the entrance and pick them up when they leave, leading to the creation of CanIBringMySelfieStick.com.”
