The official Twitter account for the British Monarchy has marked the Queen’s 90th birthday by being covered in celebratory balloons.

Every visitor to the @BritishMonarchy page using the official Twitter app on either desktop or mobile will see the balloons, which soar upwards from the bottom of the screen before passing out of sight.

Those on mobile can turn it into something of a mini-game however, with some of the balloons sticking to the top of the screen which can be popped if you tap them.

It should be noted that this feature isn’t limited to royalty – any Twitter user can add their birthday in the app’s settings and be showered with balloons come the big day.

It’s been a busy day for the monarch on Twitter so far, with the hashtag #HappyBirthdayYourMajesty sitting top of the UK trends.
