Twitter has been on top form so far during the #AppleEvent

It’s that time of year again, when Apple shove all their new products down our throats while running out of superlatives to use to describe them.

Naturally, Twitter erupts into a sea of good-willed bantering during the Apple events, and this year has been no different.

The live stream started with music from Apple Music’s Beats1.

To be fair, it was a massive improvement on what we usually get.

When Tim Cook got on stage, people were quick to notice his usually un-tucked shirt was tucked in.

It just didn’t seem natural.

Thus began a running count of the people on stage and whether their shirts were tucked or un-tucked.

The drinking games began.

And as Tim Cook started talking about the Apple Watch people were like…

Apple announced that Hermes would be making Apple Watches, and this surprisingly opened up room for a Dragonball-Z joke.

There were some cool app updates regarding the watch, but…

Even the new ability to listen to a baby’s heartbeat in the uterus wasn’t enough for the hugely popular Jony Ive parody account.

Nonetheless, the people in the venue were as enthusiastic as ever.

Before long things got very meta, as Cook prepared to announce the new iPad Pro.

The difference? The iPad Pro is BIGGER – and here’s what all of this means for you:

And also:

There were some suggestions for what iPad Pro is short for.

As well as suggestions for the person in the video promoting the new iPad.

It could well be guys, Apple have that sway.

And suggestions for its new features.

There was an awkward moment as Apple announced the Pencil to go with the iPad… which is pretty much just a stylus.

Steve Jobs detested styluses, and at a similar event had sarcastically asked “Who wants a stylus?”.

Much sarcasm ensued.

There was some joy as there appeared finally to be some diversity on stage… but it turns out we shouldn’t have gotten excited.

But the strangest thing regarding the iPad was yet to come, as a MICROSOFT EMPLOYEE was welcomed on to the stage. Followed by one from Adobe!
