UberPool arrives in London and everyone is tweeting about their fellow passengers

Uber already divides opinions, but the firm’s newest feature UberPool, which launched in the UK this weekend, has further emphasised this.

The new feature, built into the app, gives riders the chance to share a journey with others looking for an Uber – carpooling – hence the name.

But, since the service launched in London on Friday it has been getting mixed reviews on Twitter, as users began sharing cars with strangers for the first time.

There was some initial optimism.
