It’s a fact of life that waiting for a video to upload to YouTube can be pretty frustrating and the process is made worse when your video finally uploads, only for you to realise there was a license plate or some sensitive information you forgot to conceal.

Now, without having to frantically remove the video and the views it’s gained, you can blur moving objects with YouTube’s new blurring tool straight from your browser.

It’s also incredibly easy to do – simply draw a box around the thing you want to blur, and the tool will do the rest for you. You can also move the blurred area later in the video, resize it – basically anything you need to make your video work.

YouTube say they’ve made this tool available to give people a simple way to blur people, contact information, or financial data, without having to remove and then re-upload your video.

Now, go and create!
