Have you ever been dangerously close to walking into a lamp post simply because you couldn’t take your eyes off your phone? Yep, us too.
It’s also hard to be sociable with your friends and family when you’re looking down at a screen, right? So, to give us our lives back, there’s the Urban Periscope.
It uses the principles of – you’ve guessed it – a periscope, so that as you’re walking along the street, it “redirects your vision 90 degrees”. Surely all you’ve ever dreamed of in a phone case…
The satirical smartphone accessory was developed by Chase Kimball, Ingmar Larsen and Whitney Keller.
But admittedly, we’re not sure when the Urban Periscope will actually go on sale.
On the product’s website, it says they’re “only making Urban Periscopes for the iPhone 6″ for now and that to get your own you have to leave your e-mail address and they’ll keep you updated.
Oh, and the site also features these “reviews”…
So many other pretty crazy accessories for phones already exist. There’s selfie sticks for MacBooks, fibreglass selfie arms and then there’s the NoPhone – a technology-free plastic slab just in the shape of a smartphone. So we can definitely see people investing in the Urban Periscope…
